Position Overview: We are seeking a highly motivated Biotechnology/Bioengineering/Dairy Engineer Scientist with a strong interest in fermentation, food, and sustainability. You will play a key role in our R&D activities, working in our own private lab, contributing to the creation and optimization of our groundbreaking flavor ingredients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and conduct biotechnology experiments
- Drive innovative R&D projects
- Develop and optimize enzymatic and bacterial fermentation, and other biotechnological processes
- Ensure safety and regulatory compliance of developed processes
- Help maintain and expand the lab (equipment and procedures)
Qualifications that are required:
- PhD in Biotechnology, Microbiology, Bioengineering, Dairy Engineer, Chemical Engineering or related field
- Hands on research experience in a biotechnology or food technology lab
- Experience with microbial fermentation and enzymatic processing
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and time-management skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Excellent scientific communication skills in English
Qualifications that will give an extra advantage:
- Knowledge of bioprocessing and scale-up (lab to large-scale production)
- Familiarity with regulatory standards in EU food production, especially knowledge of organic food regulations
- Experience in the food industry, especially the ingredient industry
- Experience with Adaptive Laboratory Evolution
