As we continue to grow and scale our operations globally, we are looking for a highly capable Head of Group Reporting and Accounting to complement our finance team and ensure excellence in our financial reporting, compliance, and business support.
Role
As Head of Group Reporting and Accounting, you will lead the company’s accounting and financial reporting functions across all legal entities. You will be responsible for timely, accurate, and compliant financial reporting, consolidation, and financial control. Reporting directly to the CFO, you will play a central role in supporting Cmbio’s strategic growth journey.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and develop the group accounting function, ensuring robust financial controls and compliance with applicable accounting standards (IFRS/local GAAP). Part of the development will be to consolidate key accounting processes in one robust accounting function and create data-driven business insights.
- Own the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, including group consolidation and internal reporting packages.
- Prepare and manage statutory accounts and audits for all group entities.
- Ensure compliance with tax, VAT, and other regulatory reporting requirements.
- Maintain and improve group accounting policies and internal control frameworks.
- Collaborate closely with Business Development, Operations, and international subsidiaries to ensure data-driven decision processes and business understanding across the company.
- Drive continued optimization of our business processes including implementation of ERP systems, accounting tools, and reporting automation initiatives.
- Support the CFO in investor reporting, board presentations, and M&A and due diligence processes.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent.
- CPA, CA, or similar qualification is a strong advantage.
- Minimum 5+ years of relevant experience, ideally including a combination of audit and industry roles in international, fast-growing companies.
- Proven track record in group consolidation, financial reporting, and managing external audits.
- Solid understanding of IFRS and local GAAPs (e.g., Danish and US regulations).
- Strong systems knowledge (ERP, reporting, automation tools) and a digital mindset.
- Exceptional analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Fluent in English; knowledge of Danish is a plus.
