As Strategy Specialist, you will be working on the execution of various project-related tasks in relation to the development of our offerings and our organization.
Established by the Novo Nordisk Foundation in 2018, BII promotes collaborative, interdisciplinary, research-based innovation in the Life Sciences, Quantum Science and Deep Tech and helps build viable start-up companies to ensure that such innovations become widely available for the benefit of people and society. BII is currently scoping and standing up a new accelerator program focused on deep tech AI technologies. The program aims to attract deep tech AI start-ups, both from Denmark and abroad, by offering a supportive ecosystem where companies can develop and commercialize cutting-edge AI solutions of relevance for Danish industry. As a Strategy Specialist, you will be instrumental in among other things shaping and executing the strategy for this AI accelerator program, including the associated accelerator fund.
The Job
The nature of the job is dynamic, and it is not very likely that two days will look the same. You will be working on projects of strategic character – but also smaller tasks that can occur in relation to the daily operation and development of BII. We expect you to be able to contribute where needed and take the initiative to lead new projects and initiatives that will improve and develop BII.
You will:
- Identify problems and develop solutions,
- Take on the role in leading or supporting selected development projects in BII e.g. exploration of expansion options and development of new offerings,
- Lead or support operational excellence projects in collaboration with your colleagues,
- Facilitate decision-making, workshops, and meetings,
- Perform quantitative and qualitative data analysis,
- Advise and guide management, when needed.

We are looking for a team member with experience in project management and an eye for impactful but simple processes. You might come from a similar role as a project manager or management consultant, and we imagine that you have a relevant educational background that contributes new perspectives to our team.
Most importantly, you thrive with changing assignments and an organization that is still growing and developing a lot. When you see challenges, you proactively seek to solve them, and you can get people to follow you. You do not need extensive experience within life science of the physical sciences, but it is key for us that you find BII’s purpose and vision meaningful and motivating.
- Minimum 3 years of project management or consultant experience
- Proven experience within strategy development
- A well-assorted consultancy or project management toolbox
- A good facilitator of decision-making, workshops, and meetings
- An interest in building strong relations with multiple stakeholders
- Strong communicator both verbally and in writing (good PowerPoint skills is a must)
- Proficiency in Danish and English at a professional level, both written and spoken
Besides the above, you can work both as a team player and independently with a variety of workstreams simultaneously. Besides having a positive can-do attitude, you have a keen eye for making things practical and testing ideas and solutions.
