Whether your background is in biology, engineering, or business, Algiecel seeks someone with proven experience in writing applications for Danish and European grant schemes and managing the current and following project administration.
As our new Project Manager Grants, you ensure efficient and transparent management of the grants. In this connection, you will work closely with your colleagues and have constructive dialogues with the different project stakeholders – all the way from the grant application to the final report.

Terms
· Full-time or Part-time job (30-37 hours weekly)
· Flexible work schedule (at least two days at the office)
· Report to the COO
· Locations: Danish Technological Institute near Copenhagen / Algiecel’s site in Odense
Key Responsibilities
Grant Applications
- Mapping & Planning: Identify upcoming grant calls and prioritize applications based on strategic funding needs in coordination with Management.
- Application writing process: Develop a roadmap for the specific calls we apply for, and secure resources needed for the writing. Evaluate different options to increase the success rate of applications.
- Application writing: Be the focal point and coordinator for application writing (or with external support depending on the application's complexity).
- Overview of activities: In collaboration with the relevant team develop work packages and an overview of the activities needed for the respective grant.
- Time Management: Implement structured processes for preparing and writing a grant application to reduce crunch times at the end of deadlines.
Grant Administration
- Project Management Role: Taking on the “Project Manager” role in the current portfolio of ongoing Algiecel projects, from an administrative and coordinative perspective.
- Setting structures: Ensuring appropriate structures for transparent and well-documented reporting as well as approval processes for internal hours spent and external costs incurred.
- Core Administrative Tasks: Oversee project coordination, communication, dissemination, technical reporting, as well as milestone and annual reporting. Stakeholder management with grant organizations to optimize grant reimbursements.
- Collaboration/Task Delegation: Work in close collaboration with the Business Development Lead Delegate and delegate selected administrative tasks.
Experience
- You have experience from a similar position with, e.g. research or project administration, research or development grants, and general soft funding opportunities, etc.
- You have experience in handling several projects and you do it with a structured approach to your work and the ability to prioritize and plan effectively.
- You have a track record of assisting or writing applications yourself and the ability to only rely on external consultants for final reviews (dependent on grant scheme)
Qualifications
- Academic background: Relevant bachelor's degree in biology, engineering, or business.
- Languages: Fluent in English (spoken and written); Danish is an advantage.
- Soft Skills: Strong communication, teamwork, organization, and time management; ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel).
