Currently, we are looking for a new Technologist/Senior Technologist, who has experience with cell-based assays to join our molecular pharmacology team. If this sounds like you, and you are ready to take on a broad area of responsibilities with an independent attitude, you are a match for us.
The molecular pharmacology department is responsible for generating the in vitro data to select and characterize our clinical candidates across all projects. We use molecular biology and peptide display methodologies to support the identification of potential drug candidates and employ a broad range of biochemical and cell-based assays to optimize and guide the development of our molecules towards the clinic. The department consists of 10 scientists and 7 technicians. You may not know all the methods we use from the start so there will be a good opportunity to learn more.
Responsibilities
- Development and optimization of new protocols & assays with other members of the department
- Testing of new peptide drug candidates in in vitro assays
- Planning and execution of the practical work
- Processing instrument data in specialized software and databases
- Documentation of laboratory work in our electronic laboratory notebook
- In addition, responsibilities for maintenance of lab and lab equipment.
- Good collaboration both within and cross departmental to ensure pace, quality, and exchange of experimental methods and ideas.
Candidate profile
The successful candidate will have most or all of the below qualifications:
- Education as technologist/technician with at least 3 years of experience with laboratory work.
- Hands-on experience with cultivation of mammalian cells.
- Experience with cell-based assays, such as intracellular signaling assays
- Interest in acquiring new skills and learning new methods.
- Good documentation skills
- Good understanding of written and spoken English (company language)
- If you also have experience in areas like lab-automation, molecular biology, flow cytometry, ex vivo experiments, biomarker measurements, or protein expression it is a plus, but not required.
