Your new position
As Director, New Product Planning (NPP), you will bridge science and commercial strategy to help shape the future of our pipeline. Working closely with R&D, Commercial and Business Development (BD), you will translate market, competitive and clinical insights into actionable asset plans that maximize long-term value creation. This is an opportunity to influence high-impact decisions and help ensure pipeline assets are commercially compelling from early development through Phase 3 readiness.
We Offer Exciting Responsibilities
- Lead commercial strategy for pipeline assets from early development through proof of concept and Phase 3 readiness
- Integrate market, competitive and clinical insights into asset strategies and target product profiles (TPPs) to guide development choices
- Represent Commercial in cross-functional project teams, ensuring commercial input informs key development milestones
- Contribute to portfolio trade-off discussions and investment recommendations with evidence-based insights and strategic options
- Drive lifecycle planning and support market readiness activities for pipeline assets
- Support BD with commercial evaluations of external opportunities, as needed
Your profile
This role suits a strategic, collaborative leader who can translate complex scientific and market inputs into clear choices and recommendations. Success requires strong cross-functional influence, structured thinking, and the ability to build alignment while constructively challenging assumptions.
- Extensive experience in pharma/biotech across commercial and R&D-facing roles
- Proven expertise in New Product Planning, Commercial Strategy, and asset positioning
- Strong understanding of the drug development process and value drivers across stages
- Demonstrated leadership and ability to influence across senior, cross-functional stakeholders
- Ability to develop and communicate TPPs and scenario-based recommendations for governance and portfolio decision-making
- Advanced degree in Life Sciences, Business, or related discipline (MBA or PhD a plus)
