The position
We are looking for a talented and motivated student assistant to join us and support the science team. You will work on a wide variety of tasks that will challenge you and allow you to develop your laboratory skills.
Using your educational background, you will assist in developing and optimising molecular biology assays, handling 2D and 3D mammalian cell cultures, and data analysis. You will also contribute to weekly scientific discussions with the whole team.
The job is quite flexible for you to accommodate your studies and exams. However, we would like you to spend 10-20 hours per week with us, preferably two days a week.
Professional and personal qualifications
The successful candidate:
- Is pursuing a master’s degree in the scientific field (biochemistry, biology, human biology, biotechnology or similar) and is eager to apply their theoretical knowledge in the laboratory. Previous practical experience is a plus.
- Works independently and efficiently within the agreed deadlines.
- Shows initiative in driving their own project.
- Is a team player and engages with colleagues from various backgrounds.
- Possesses good communication skills in English.
- Is motivated and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
