We are looking for a Radiochemistry scientist to support our expert Radiochemistry team. The position is in a dynamic and exciting team involving studies researching new radiochemical synthesis methods and developing targeted radionuclide therapies, which necessitates close collaboration with our scientists and technicians across the organisation. It is essential that you are a good team player and have excellent communication skills, are efficient and have an eye for detail to maintain the high quality of data we are known for.
The ideal candidate will be a PhD level radiochemist with prior experience in radiochemistry research and development within the field of targeted radionuclide therapies, but the most important thing is interest, a quick mind, and a willingness to learn.
You will be part of an experienced team, and your role will include, among other things:
- Research and development of new chemistries with Ac225, At211, Lu177 and other therapeutic radionuclides.
- Radiolabelling research, development and characterisation of new molecules and biologics.
- Setting up radiolabelling methodologies with diagnostic and therapeutic radioisotopes.
- Engage with stakeholders to convey scientific findings
- Research and development of new chemical synthesis and analytical methodologies.
- GMP synthesis and automation on dedicated synthesis modules
- Interactions with our CDMO, GMP production team.
- Delivery to dedicated teams for evaluation by preclinical PET-CT, SPECT-CT and biodistribution.
Qualifications:
- You will have a background as chemist, preferably with expertise in medicinal chemistry or radiochemistry.
- Ideally a PhD in radiochemistry, medicinal chemistry or relevant disciplines
- While prior experience in radiochemistry is not mandatory, a willingness and aptitude to learn are essential.
- Strong expertise in medicinal chemistry with a focus on organic chemistry and drug development
- 3+ years relevant experience in an academic or industrial environment.
