Currently, we are looking for a new postdoc in computational peptide design in our HQ at Søborg who is ready to work with and develop generative and deep learning-based design methods to facilitate the discovery of novel peptides. The Department and Team you´ll be joining
Join the Department of Medicinal & Computational Chemistry, where we are dedicated to the design, synthesis, and delivery of peptides for cutting-edge research projects. As a postdoc in our Computational Chemistry team, you will play a pivotal role in developing our workflows for computational peptide design, using state-of-the-art generative AI and structure-based methods. Your contributions will be integral to our research endeavors.
Currently the team consist of 1 Lead Scientist, 1 Senior Scientist and a student assistant. Our team is characterized by an informal environment, great teamwork and a passion for science. You will report directly to Senior Director of Pharmaceutical Development and you will get assigned a buddy as part of your onboarding.
Your responsibilities
- Develop robust workflows for de novo peptide design using state-of-the-art technology, e.g. AlphaFold
- Stay up to date with the latest developments in AI-based protein design and adapt these to the needs of the organization
- Generate de novo hits and optimize starting point for new projects
Skills and Knowledge we hope you possess
- PhD in Computational Chemistry, Bioinformatics, Structural Biology or a related field
- Familiarity with protein structure prediction and protein design software, e.g. Rosetta and AlphaFold
- Proficiency in Linux and common computational biology/chemistry programming languages (e.g. Bash, Python)
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in English.
