Be the new Health Economics Outcome Research (HEOR) Director

Currently, we are looking for a new HEOR Director to join our Medical Affairs division and support our growth journey. Medical Affairs provides medical leadership with market preparation and partnership engagement on all Zealand Pharma products and therapies and supports our internal stakeholders with medical insight and expertise. Medical Affairs aims to lead Zealand in achieving scientific leadership, being a great place to work, and keeping patients at the core of everything we do.
We are a medium-sized biotech with a short chain of command. We are currently a team of 13 (11 based in DK and 2 in the US), reporting to the Head of Medical Affairs, and we are looking for the right colleague to add additional competencies the team. The position will be based in Søborg, Denmark.

Responsibilities:
- Develop and/or coordinate payer evidence tools (budget impact/cost-effectiveness models, value dossier and value messages)
- Support the planning and development of evidence generation initiative to better understand disease burden, patient pathway and outcomes for Zealand’s product portfolio
- Responsible for all aspects of effective project management, including RFP development, selection of research partners, contract execution, budget planning, protocol design, analytic plan development, oversight of data collection/acquisition, data analysis, etc.
- Provide input to clinical trial design e.g., inclusion of appropriate value/patient-reported outcomes endpoints
- With other R&D teams, develop the patient focused drug development strategy and endpoint selection and collection in clinical trials
- Work cross-functionally with Project Core Teams
- Develop and manage research communication material
- Provide internal training on HEOR/RWE methodologies
Candidate Profile
- A Master’s Degree preferably within life science, economics or equivalent background
- Minimum 3-5 years of relevant HEOR experience in the US (preferably in Obesity) from the industry or consulting, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
- A proven ability to translate clinical data and other benefits into evidence-based economic arguments and deliverables
- Demonstrated expertise in health outcomes research, economic analyses, patient-reported outcomes (PROs), prospective and retrospective observational research
- Demonstrated record of peer-reviewed scientific publications, dossier development, and strategic, customer-focused HEOR tool development
- Demonstrated strategic and medical leadership ability
- Strong oral and written communication skills, including the ability to develop and deliver medical presentations
- Appreciation of the evolving HEOR space
- Strong analytical mind-set, able to quickly assess large amounts of information, and to distil into key messages and actions
