Currently, we are looking for a new Associate Director Sourcing/Procurement, who has solid experience in outsourcing pharmaceutical manufacturing. If this sounds like you, and you are ready to take on a broad area of responsibilities with an independent attitude, you are a match for us.
The position is located in Søborg and organized in Supply Chain & Sourcing under Technical Development and manufacturing (TDM). We are currently a team of 7 dedicated professionals handling Commercial Supply Chain, Clinical Trial Supply and Sourcing.
This job will give you the opportunity to use all of your skills in interpersonal relationship creation, negotiation and alliance management giving you and Zealand the best options for a successful outcome.
Responsibilities
As Associate Director in Sourcing/ Procurement you will be working on a number of different tasks. Among these will be the identification of new suppliers, preparation of request for proposal documentation, evaluation of quotes, negotiation of quotes and contracts as well as establishing long term relationships with our suppliers.
Other tasks will be:
- In cooperation with business to select the best supplier(s) based on tangible criteria
- Being contract owner - follow up via regular Joint Steering Committee meetings
- Involved in setting up an optimal and as automated procurement process as possible
Skills and experience
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers to ensure long term collaboration
- Effective negotiation skills to secure the best deals and to build strong and long-term supplier relations
- Clear and concise communication to manage relationships with suppliers and stakeholders
- Understanding market trends and supplier capabilities
- Identifying and mitigating risk associated with sourcing and supply chain disruptions
- Managing budgets and understanding cost structures to ensure cost effective sourcing
- Ensure that sourcing practice is sustainable and ethical according to corporate policies
Candidate profile
We are looking for a passionate and open-minded colleague, who has most or all of the below qualifications:
- Solid pharma experience preferred
- M.Sc. in Chemistry/Biology/Pharmacy
- Experience in collaboration with external partners
- Experience working in a project organization
- Knowledge of GMP is an advantage
- A good sense of humor
