We are currently looking a Director, Head of Procurement to build and lead the procurement function, with a focus on setting up robust processes and frameworks to drive efficiency and strategic value for the organization.
As the Director, Head of Procurement, you will play a critical role in establishing and leading the company’s procurement operations for all non-GxP categories, including but not limited to corporate services, facilities services, and other indirect procurement needs. You will design and implement strategies, processes, and tools to ensure cost efficiency, compliance, and strategic alignment with business goals.

Key Responsibilities
Establish Procurement Structure:
- Build and implement a comprehensive procurement framework, including policies, processes, and governance for all non-GxP procurement categories.
- Set up systems and tools for tracking procurement activities, supplier performance, and spend management.

Strategic Sourcing and Contracting:
- Lead sourcing and contracting efforts for all non-GxP goods and services, ensuring competitive pricing, quality, and timely delivery.
- Negotiate and manage contracts to drive value and mitigate risks for the company.
Supplier Management:
- Ensure together with other function that a we develop and manage strong supplier relationships to ensure alignment with business needs and objectives.
- Oversee supplier selection, qualification, and evaluation processes.
Cost and Efficiency Optimization:
- Identify opportunities to reduce costs while maintaining high quality and service levels.
- Optimize procurement processes to improve efficiency and scalability.
Collaboration with Stakeholders:
- Work closely with cross-functions, including Finance, IT, HR, Research and Facilities and other functions, to understand procurement needs and deliver solutions.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to senior leadership on procurement-related matters.
Compliance and Risk Management:
- Ensure compliance with internal policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Identify and mitigate procurement-related risks.
Candidate Profile
The successful candidate will have most or all of the below qualifications:
- Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, or a related field (MBA or equivalent advanced degree preferred).
- 10+ years of procurement experience, including at least 5 years in a leadership role, preferably in the pharmaceutical, biotech, or life sciences industry.
- Proven experience in setting up or transforming procurement functions, with a focus on indirect or non-GxP categories.
- Strong expertise in strategic sourcing, supplier management, and contract negotiations.
- Knowledge of procurement systems, tools, and best practices.
- Excellent leadership, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a results-oriented mindset.
