BrainCapture is a medtech startup disrupting EEG. Our mission is to make the EEG diagnostic available wherever and whenever it is needed, worldwide. We believe that by achieving this goal we will impact millions of lives globally and generate significant commercial value.
BrainCapture has developed a Point-of-Care (POC) EEG device that allows a non-expert such as a nurse to take clean, high-quality EEG recordings. Current EEG solutions rely on rare experts and complicated devices to deploy. This issue is particularly acute in low-resource settings that lack onsite expertise and/or infrastructure. A low-resource setting can mean in the middle of the East African desert or on nights and weekends in the critical care ward in the largest hospital in Denmark. Both may lack the resources to deploy conventional EEG solutions.
Our BC-1 solution was developed with these settings in mind. In every decision during the development process, we asked ourselves if our product would be useful in any clinical setting anywhere in the world. This principle guided our work and has yielded a highly usable, connected system linked to a reading service.
BrainCapture received Medical CE under MDR (European market) approval for its BC-1 POC EEG system in January 2024. Today we are distributed in 10 markets, and are now scaling quickly across Asia, Africa, the Middle East, and Latin America while working to enter the EU market with current and future products.
The Role
In the next year we target 10+ new distributors in new markets.
To achieve this, we are expanding our sales team and looking for passionate, driven candidates who are excited to sell, train, and to help build the internal systems that enable us to achieve the global growth and scale we are working to achieve. This position's key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Generate leads with key distributors in identified target markets through desktop research, industry networking and attending conferences
- Extensive calls and outreach to potential distributors and partners across many geographies
- Training material development with internal team
- Modelling of business models and service revenues
- Onboard and train distributors to sell and service our system / ensure customer success
- Build internal systems that ensure repeatable sales and support worldwide
Key qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, medicine, or biology
- Applicants must be based in either Copenhagen, Denmark or Nairobi, Kenya
- High level of motivation and dedication
- Proven sales track record
- Creative and solution oriented work approach
- Medtech / healthcare experience a significant plus
- Experience managing global distribution networks and working across different regions and cultures, ideally in healthcare
- Experience with business models, financial modelling, healthcare financing a plus
Key competencies:
- Willing to travel frequently to emerging markets potentially including but not limited to SE Asia, S Asia, Latin America, Central Asia, Africa, and the Middle East
- Ready to get your hands dirty, learn how to take EEG with our product, learn how to train others, visit hospitals, understand use cases, etc
- Develop business models, generate distribution leads and negotiate contracts with BrainCapture’s CCO and Head of Global Business Development
