The Opportunity
We are looking for a commercially driven and hands-on Vice President of Sales to build and scale our global sales organization. This is a pivotal role in driving Aquaporin’s next growth chapter. You will be responsible for turning strategy into execution – from establishing new key accounts, to leading and sharpen a dedicated and international sales team.
Reporting to the CEO, your expertise and experience will be instrumental in expanding our customer base and solidifying our position in the water technology industry.
You will lead a global commercial team, and your role will be to bring cohesion, clarity, and execution power across these functions.
The main focus of this role is to drive revenue, create momentum, and expand Aquaporin’s presence in global markets.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a go-to-market strategy with clear prioritization of target markets, segments, and opportunities within residential and industrial water segments.
- Drive and execute a key account strategy; win and grow strategic accounts globally, with strong focus on APAC and entry into the US.
- Lead, motivate, and sharpen an international sales team, ensuring accountability, tracking, and measurable results.
- Work hands-on with top-tier accounts - personally engaging with clients, developing long-term partnerships, and closing deals.
- Identify and execute improvements in the sales process, from CRM and pipeline management to reporting and forecasting.
- Collaborate closely with the Commercial Engineering department and the Marketing Department to align offerings with market needs.
- Develop and report on quarterly and annual sales targets, including longer-term business and development opportunities.
- Represent Aquaporin at international industry events, building visibility and positioning the company as a market leader.
Candidate Profile
- Master’s degree in engineering or science; MBA desirable.
- Proven international track record of growing sales and developing key accounts – ideally from a scientific or technically based transformation context.
- Experience in leading and sharpening sales organizations, combining strategic vision with operational execution.
- Strong technical sales background. Ideally, experience from the water industry.
- Hands-on leadership style: comfortable working directly with customers while leading a team.
- Excellent knowledge of sales methodologies, CRM, pipeline management, and data-driven decision making.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills; able to engage across cultures and geographies.
- Fluent in English (verbal and written). Proficiency in other languages is considered an advantage but not a demand.
