Job title: (Associate) Stem Cell Scientist

Meat Tomorrow is a cellular agriculture startup developing revolutionary stem cell technologies to enable the production of sustainable, affordable, and animal-friendly pork.
Position overview: We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled stem cell scientist to join our team and drive critical experimental work to advance our cultivated meat technology platform. In this position, you will co-design, execute, analyze and troubleshoot experiments in an environment that provides an opportunity to learn from experts in the field. In addition, you will be exposed to intellectual property strategies and relevant commercial discussion and required to summarize your data for a variety of stakeholders.
You should have:
- A master’s degree or Ph.D. in cell biology with a strong focus on pluripotent stem cells.
- At least one year’s hands-on experience working with pluripotent stem cell culture, maintenance, and differentiation.
- Proficiency in a range of analytical techniques, including fluorescence microscopy and flow cytometry.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and creatively.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Willingness to spend a significant amount of time on hands-on laboratory work
It would be advantageous to also have experience with one or more of:
- PSC lines from different species
- Differentiation protocol optimization
- Suspension/bioreactor culture
- qRT-PCR or bulk RNA-seq
