Adcendo ApS is a clinical-stage biotechnology company headquartered in Copenhagen, Denmark. We are looking for a dedicated Sr. Scientist, CMC, who will be responsible for analytical development throughout CMC at Adcendo. You will be responsible for leading and organising all aspects of analytical method development for key projects within our organisation. This position requires a strong scientific background and knowledge of the different functions within CMC as well as good project management skills.
The role
As Sr. Scientist, CMC, at Adcendo your responsibilities will encompass:
- Lead and oversee analytical activities for our projects including analytical development; quality control, risk management, product characterization and stability.
- Support regulatory filings including coordination, authoring and review of M3 document
- Participate in team efforts to identify CMC risks, challenges, and opportunities within projects.
- Plan and execute strategy for analytical method validation and control strategy for both early and late-stage projects in close collaboration with CMC project management.
- Take part in vendor selection and oversight of CDMOs, including scientific contribution, review and approval of reports and protocols.
- Work with QA and QP to ensure adherence to cGMP
- Review of GMP/GDP documentation, out of specifications (OOS), deviations, change controls, complaints and distribution in collaboration with QA
- Author and review appropriate CMC sections of IND/IMPD and BLA submissions
Qualifications and experience
Our ideal candidate will have solid experience from a similar role and thus a thorough understanding of pharmaceutical development in the Biotech industry. Working in CMC is a challenging but rewarding environment. The key project in scope has multiple activities and stakeholders in different geographical locations. This role necessitates skillful balance of quick decision-making and adaptability while ensuring meticulous attention to detail across a wide range of tasks.
- Minimum 5 years of experience working in the industry with CMC-related projects and belonging activities
- Relevant academic background in Science, such as Pharmacist, Biochemist, Chemist or Engineer
- Experience with developing biopharmaceutical products through the different clinical phases
- Experience with outsourcing and vendor management
- Collaborative team player with a positive attitude and ability to think and act quickly to identify creative solutions to complex problems
- You work with strong attention to detail while demonstrating courage and adaptability
- You are flexible and thrive in a dynamic environment with evolving responsibilities and company growth
Other details
- The position is full-time and comes with the expectation of significant on-site presence at our Copenhagen offices
- Approximately 10-20 travel days per year is expected
- The Sr. Scientist, CMC, reports to the CTO
