Bactolife is pioneering a novel class of food ingredients known as Binding Proteins, designed to neutralize harmful metabolites in the gut. These versatile proteins can be integrated into a wide range of products—from dietary supplements and medical nutrition to food & beverages, hydration solutions, and infant formulas. Founded in Copenhagen in 2017, we are now a diverse and rapidly growing team of 45 professionals representing 14 nationalities, all driven by a shared purpose and a passion for scientific innovation.
The Role
To support our continued growth, we are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Student Assistant to join our Finance team. In this role, you will work closely with the CFO, gaining firsthand experience in financial operations, strategic projects, and investor communications. This is an exciting opportunity for a student looking to apply their academic knowledge in a dynamic, high-growth biotech environment.
You will be exposed to a broad range of responsibilities—spanning financial reporting, budgeting, data analysis, and support for fundraising and strategic initiatives. We're upgrading our financial systems and strengthening our internal processes, providing a valuable learning environment for a student eager to grow.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting, budgeting, and accounting activities
- Prepare presentation materials and reports for investors and the Board of Directors
- Support fundraising efforts, including managing data rooms and coordinating due diligence
- Conduct research and analysis on markets, competitors, and relevant regulations
- Help identify and implement process improvements across finance and operations
- Develop and maintain financial models, including budgeting, forecasting, cost tracking, and allocation
What We’re Looking For
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s program, ideally in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Power BI; familiarity with PowerPoint is a plus
- Excellent communication skills in English, both written and spoken
- Strong analytical mindset and keen attention to detail
- Independent, proactive, and structured work style
- Curious, energetic, and eager to take on new challenges
- Previous experience in finance-related roles or accounting systems is a plus
