Job Description
The Head of Corporate Affairs is responsible for creating and implementing the corporate affairs strategy for Sandoz in the Nordics (Denmark, Sweden, Finland and Norway) across internal and external communications, public / government affairs and third-party advocacy. This role reports to the Head of Corporate Affairs for the Northern Cluster (Nordics, Netherlands, UK and Israel), and is part of the Nordics extended leadership team, led by the Nordics Country Head.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Champion the Sandoz Purpose
- Develop and execute an external engagement strategy, working with local responsibles for public affairs and trade bodies, to influence government and health system policy to deliver Sandoz commercial priorities in the short and medium term
- Manage proactive communications via lay and trade (social and traditional) media including preparing for and responding to issues and crises, working with Nordics and above-countries colleagues as needed
- Ensure Nordic associates are informed, engaged and motivated to navigate change and deliver company priorities, working with the People and Organisation function
- As a member of the Nordics leadership team, input stakeholder and policy insights into the Norther Cluster and Nordics country strategy. Communicate strategy and results to above-country leadership
- Offer corporate affairs counsel to corporate affairs colleagues in Cluster, Region and Global
- Own the corporate brand locally and manage quality control and co-ordination
What You’ll Bring To The Role
- University degree. Second degree preferred
- Native language skills. Also, excellent written and spoken English
- 10+ years of relevant experience
- The ability to prioritise between competing demands in a matrixed organisation
- Being purpose driven while commercially savvy and pragmatic
- Demonstrable success in developing and implementing corporate affairs strategies
- Demonstrable skills in working collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders
- Knowledge of the media, politics, public policy, and health systems in the four countries
- Contacts among the media, politicians, public officials and patient groups
