Associate to join BII’s Deep Tech department (Maternity Cover, 12 months)
Are you motivated by quantum technologies and want to help shape the future of groundbreaking startups? Can you imagine being part of a vibrant team that scouts, supports, and accelerates the next generation of quantum changemakers?
Then we might have the perfect opportunity for you at BioInnovation Institute (BII). We’re looking for a dynamic and curious individual to step in as an Associate during our beloved colleague's maternity leave.
As an Associate, you will be part of the Quantum Team within our Deep Tech Department at BII - a unique environment where entrepreneurial researchers, venture builders, and industry experts come together to drive innovation. In this role, you will help develop our expertise within quantum innovation and support our different offers for startups before and during our programs.
The Deep Tech department at BII is dedicated to supporting quantum start-up companies and positioning BII as a key international hub for quantum entrepreneurship. Our collaborative workspace in Copenhagen brings together entrepreneurial researchers and venture builders, advancing quantum science companies towards the market. We provide start-ups not only with funding and office space but also with the expertise, experience, and network of in-house teams, world-class researchers, mentors, and international partners.
The Job
As an Associate, your main activities in the team are centered on identifying promising technologies and supporting innovation activities in the quantum ecosystem. We are in the process of developing our offerings and expertise in early-stage quantum innovation, and you would be involved in both developing new initiatives and running existing ones.
The main focus areas will be:
- Conducting a landscape analysis of quantum research in Denmark and the Nordic region. This will allow us to identify the most promising application areas, potential partners, promising technologies, and emerging startups within quantum technology.
- Supporting our Innovation Challenge initiative, which we intend to launch this spring with both national and international partners.
- Writing market reports to uncover the potential for using specific quantum technologies within different industries.
- Conducting analysis of the current investment landscape in quantum technology or relevant applications areas.
You will be part of a dynamic business development team dedicated to solving challenges, refining processes, and promoting the Deep Tech Department’s mission to global quantum start-ups and investors.
The maternity cover has a duration of 12 months.
