Be the new Senior Scientist Immunogenicity
In a biotech company bonding to discover, design and develop innovative peptide-based medicines.
Currently, we are looking for a new senior immunogenicity scientist, who has solid experience in developing and validating ligand binding and cell based immunogenicity assays, providing technical guidance, and supporting project teams with expertise in immunogenicity assessment. If this sounds like you, and you are ready to take on a broad range of responsibilities with an independent attitude, you are a match for us.
The position is placed in the Immunogenicity Department within Pharmacokinetics, Immunogenicity and Bioanalytical Sciences. Our Immunogenicity Department supports our drug development projects with assays to detect and characterize potential immunogenicity of our new peptide drugs during the development phases. Key responsibilities include the development of high-quality anti-drug antibody (ADA) and neutralizing antibody (NAb) assays, as well as supporting the smooth transfer and validation of these assays at contract research organizations (CROs). The department is also responsible for the generation and characterization of critical reagents, as well as supporting projects with immunogenicity risk assessments and monitoring strategies.
Responsibilities
- Develop and validate ADA and NAb immunogenicity assays.
- Support technicians working in the lab internally, providing guidance and troubleshooting assistance as needed.
- Generate, characterize and maintain critical reagents required for immunogenicity assays.
- Support transfer and validation of immunogenicity assays conducted at CROs.
- Support non-clinical and clinical project development teams by providing expertise in immunogenicity assessment.
- Drive the documentation of project immunogenicity risk and support regulatory interactions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate immunogenicity insights into clinical protocols, reports and project plans.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements in immunogenicity assays.
- Stay updated with advancements in immunogenicity assay technologies and methodologies.
- Prepare and present detailed reports and visualizations of immunogenicity assay outcomes to stakeholders.
Candidate profile
- MSc or PhD degree within Immunology, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, or a related field.
- At least 3 years of hands on or oversight experience in development and validation of cell-based assays and ligand binding assays.
- Proficiency in immunogenicity assay techniques and technologies.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data.
- Experience in providing technical guidance and oversight during transfer and validation of immunogenicity assays conducted at CROs.
- Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills, capable of conveying technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience in generation and control of critical reagents (including protein purification and stability assessments)
- Knowledge of industry standards and regulatory requirements for immunogenicity assays.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Experience in supporting technicians working in the lab, providing guidance and troubleshooting assistance.
