Cirqle Biomedical is expanding its portfolio and seeking a Business Development Intern to join our team. In this role, you will work closely with the CEO on key business development activities. Our goal is to provide you with valuable insights into business development within a life science startup.
About Cirqle
Cirqle Biomedical's mission is to pioneer advancements in women's health by combining our expertise in mucin engineering and human-centered design. Our first product is a novel non-hormonal contraceptive that reinforces the body’s natural barrier to sperm cells, the cervical mucus. We are now developing this product in partnership with Organon, a world-leading women's health pharmaceutical company, as part of a $360M deal. Our innovative efforts have garnered recognition from major media outlets, including Forbes, CNN, and Wired Magazine. By joining Cirqle Biomedical, you will become part of an ambitious, mission-driven team dedicated to transforming science into products that can improve millions of lives.
What you’ll work on:
- Identify and review scientific literature and effectively communicate your findings to the management team
- Support business development activities including market analysis, clinical needs analysis, competitor analysis, and investor landscape analysis, development of business cases
- Identify and connect with key opinion leaders within the focus areas
- Identify potential grant opportunities and support the application process to secure funding
- Take on flexible responsibilities as needed to support the operations
Who you are:
- Currently pursuing a master’s degree in life sciences, ideally with a focus in entrepreneurship
- Seeking a 6-month internship (37 hours/week) to gain hands-on experience in a life science startup
- Interested in the intersection between innovation in women’s health and business opportunities
- Capable of simplifying complex information
- Work independently
- Comfortable reaching out to and communicating with various stakeholders
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in English
- Authorized to undertake an internship in Denmark
