Currently, we are looking for a new Senior Director of Research Project Management our Research and Non-clinical Development Team and support our growth journey. Research and Non-clinical Development is responsible for all early discovery project from Innovation to lead compound selection and preparation for phase 1 as well as support to Development Project with several aspects. We are building the future projects to serve the need of patients.
We are a medium-sized biotech with a short chain of command. We are currently a team of approx. 95 engaged people working I 6 different departments.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for guiding the team of Research Project Managers according to our project handbook and other guidance documents. Secure smooth working in dotted line environment.
- Opportunity to build an organization of professional Project Leads Managers that will drive the Research Projects together with scientist in the organization.
- Secure progress and quality content of the projects from Idea to initiation of phase 1.
- Work in close collaboration with rest of Research Management team to secure right level of insights to the projects and empowerment of the Project Teams
- Drive decision making and presentation to management and other stakeholders in collaboration with Project managers
- Ensure development of value stories, Research Target profile and guidance on preparation of Tollgate documentation.
- Responsible for ensuring close collaboration with Innovation work to Management and rest of organization
- Secure Innovation strategy is implemented in close collaboration with stakeholders in the organization and agreement with the Research strategy set forward.
- Ensure close collaboration with External Innovation for smooth transfer of external innovation to internal projects.
Candidate Profile
The successful candidate will have most of the below qualifications:
- A MSc/PhD within chemistry, biochemistry, pharmaceutical sciences, or other relevant fields. > 10 years experience in Drug Discovery and related disciplines: Medicinal Chemistry, Molecular Pharmacology, in vivo pharmacology, pk/pd and pharmaceutical development
- Extensive experience with project management and stakeholder management
- Experience with participating in cross functional project teams and well-developed collaboration skills
- Strong oral and written communication skills in English
- Great people and stakeholder management skills
- The ability and engagement to “walk the extra mile”
