Position Summary:
The HR Business Partner at Biomason, will be our end-to-end HR professional, driving the HR agenda in Denmark. We will expect you to administer human resources policies and programs, balancing employee advocacy and business operating needs. This role provides comprehensive HR support to business leaders, ensuring compliance with Danish and relevant European Union employment laws while supporting the company’s strategic objectives and driving employee engagement. Success in this role will depend on clear, effective communication with colleagues both locally and across US-based teams.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Strategic HR Business Partnering:
- Collaborate with leadership to support business priorities, workforce planning, and organizational development efforts.
- Provide HR guidance and support to employees and management on various topics, including benefits, compensation, performance management, and employee relations.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for employee relations matters, investigating and resolving workplace issues with a fair and balanced approach.
Talent acquisition:
- Facilitate recruitment and onboarding processes, including job postings, candidate screening, interviews, and new hire orientation.
Operations and compliance:
- Administer and implement HR policies, procedures, and programs that align with Biomason’s business goals and culture.
- Maintain and update employee records, HR databases, and reporting systems with a focus on accuracy and confidentiality.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable Danish and European Union employment laws and regulations.
- Assist in the administration of benefits programs, including open enrollment and employee inquiries.
- Support payroll processes and ensure accurate tracking of employee leave, attendance, and compliance with Biomason policies.
Employee engagement and Learning & Development:
- Assist in the development and execution of employee engagement initiatives to enhance workplace satisfaction and retention.
- Support performance management efforts by guiding managers on feedback delivery, coaching, and disciplinary actions as necessary.
- Lead HR-related training sessions for employees and managers to promote best practices and compliance awareness.
Experience / Education
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- At least 7+ years of experience in a human resources role, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Certification (PHR, SHRM-CP) is a plus.
- Experience with HRIS systems and proficiency in Google Workspace is a must.
- Experience in start-up environments, first time implementations and first of a kind operations is highly desirable.

- Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively convey HR policies and procedures.
- Strong understanding of Danish and EU labor laws and commitment to upholding ethical HR practices.
- Strong knowledge of Danish and relevant European Union employment laws and regulations.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels of the organization.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive and solutions-oriented approach.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
