BioColor is a newly established spin-out of the Technical University of Denmark and is pioneering the future of sustainable natural colours through precision fermentation. We are looking for an enthusiastic and skilled scientist to join our growing team and support our mission of creating high-performance, bio-based colour solutions.
Position
As a member of the strain development team, you will play a central role in creating microbial production strains for industrial fermentation. You are a great fit for our team if you are driven by scientific inquiry and innovation, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and enjoy working in teams where mutual support leads to shared success.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and build microbial strains to improved performance
- Plan and carry out experimental studies
- Document and analyze experimental results
- Review and assess scientific literature
- Support IP portfolio development
Qualifications
- PhD in Metabolic Engineering with at least 3+ years of relevant industry experience
- Solid knowledge of metabolic engineering and microbial physiology of yeasts
- Effective communication, intercultural competence, and interpersonal skills are essential
- Creative problem-solving abilities and a practical, hands-on approach
- Ability to execute several projects simultaneously
- Willingness to take on challenges and responsibilities, both practical and theoretical
