Lab Operations and Biomarker Assay Development

Position Overview We're seeking a passionate Research Scientist to join our laboratory team in Copenhagen. You'll play a vital role in advancing our liquid biopsy platform, working under the guidance of our Laboratory Manager to develop and validate novel biomarker assays.
Your Impact - First 3 Months
· Master our standardized laboratory protocols for blood sample processing
· Support high-throughput immunoassay operations
· Assist in validation studies for analytical and clinical performance
· Document procedures and results according to regulatory standards
· Contribute to laboratory automation initiatives
Your Impact - First Year
· Preparation of GLX Signature Tests for regulatory filings
· Support scaling of sample processing operations
· Contribute to biomarker-discovery initiatives
· Develop and optimize new analytical methods
· Support US market expansion
Laboratory Focus
· Processing large volumes of blood samples with precision
· Executing complex immunoassay protocols (ELISA, Luminex, MSD)
· Performing protein and glycan-based antibody purification
· Maintaining quality control systems
· Supporting method validation studies
· Collaborating with data science team on assay optimization
Required Qualifications
· MSc or PhD in biomedicine, bioengineering, chemistry, or related field
· 1-5 years of industry experience (post-doctoral applicants welcome)
· Strong foundation in laboratory techniques and documentation
· Experience with immunoassay platforms and development of biomarker assays
Technical Skills
· Proficiency in immunoassay techniques and assay development
· Experience with: Luminex, MSD, ELISA, Simoa, and/or Cobas platforms
· Knowledge of protein/glycan-based antibody purification and coupling chemistry
· Understanding of quality control systems
· Laboratory automation experience

· Takes pride in precise bench work and manual laboratory techniques
· Detail-oriented with strong documentation skills

· Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects

Bonus Qualifications
· Experience with glycan and/or antibody bioengineering
· Background in glycobiology and/or neurodegenerative, autoimmune, or cardiovascular disease
· Familiarity with laboratory automation systems
· Experience with biofluids analysis
· Quality Management Systems (QMS) laboratory experience
