Key Responsibilities:
- Process Operation & Monitoring:
- Operate and continuously monitor biorefinery equipment, ensuring optimal process conditions and timely adjustments when necessary.
- Maintain accurate logs of process parameters, shifts, and incidents, contributing to data-driven decision making.
- Execute and update standard operating procedures (SOPs) in line with best practices.
- Technical Support & Troubleshooting:
- Collaborate with engineers and the Head of Manufacturing to diagnose and resolve process-related issues.
- Assist in routine maintenance and repair of process equipment, including supporting basic electrical troubleshooting and repairs.
- Engage in preventative maintenance programs to minimize downtime and maximize equipment lifespan.
- Safety & Compliance:
- Adhere to all company safety protocols and regulatory standards, ensuring a safe working environment.
- Conduct regular safety inspections and promptly report any hazards or deviations.
- Participate in safety training and contribute to continuous safety improvements.
- Process Improvement & Documentation:
- Provide input on process optimization initiatives by identifying areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with the team to develop and implement process enhancements and best practices.
- Document changes and improvements to support ongoing quality assurance efforts.
Qualifications:
- Education & Certifications:
- A relevant technical qualification (e.g., vocational training, associate degree, or equivalent) in process technology, mechanical/electrical engineering, or a related field.
- Basic electrician certification or demonstrated electrical maintenance skills is highly desirable.
- Experience:
- Prior experience in a process-driven or manufacturing environment, ideally within biorefinery, chemical processing, or related industries.
- Experience in the food industry is highly valued, as it provides exposure to strict safety, quality, and process standards that are directly applicable to our operations.
- Experience working with process control systems and instrumentation is a plus.
