Job Summary
As our new Research Associate/Laboratory Technician, you will be specialized in production of recombinant proteins in fungi and bacteria.
Your main responsibility will be to develop effective lab scale fermentation processes to test and select production strains for our customers.
You will be working on external R&D projects together with our customers and need to be able to communicate also to non-scientists.
Requirements
Preferred candidates will possess experience in one or more of the following areas:
- Aspergillus and Bacillus fermentation at lab scale.
- Fermentation process development and optimization.
- Automated cultivation in microtiter plates and other high throughput, small volume formats.
- Data analysis incl. SAS JMP, etc.
- The following areas of expertise will represent an advantage:
- Knowledge about strain construction and genetic tools.
- Knowledge about protein biochemistry and assay development.
Further, you can see yourself in the following:
- You have a background as lab technician or bachelor and have a few years of experience after graduating. Passion in fermentation is more important than years of experience.
- You have a high energy level and strong work ethics.
- You have excellent interpersonal verbal and written communication skills and the ability to discuss complex technical concepts with a variety of audiences and customers.
- You can handle pressure and keep your head cool. You are an intellectually curious team player who embraces the challenges and excitement of an entrepreneurial business.
- You have a great mood and bring curiosity in learning and a positive attitude and humour to our team.
