Responsibilities
- Responsible for development of the Patient safety team with the focus on realizing Karos vision through individual and organizational development with a deep understanding of leadership
- Responsible for the development and planning of the Global Patient Safety Organization in Karo which is a global team consisting of specialist competences within the area of GVP processes and its compliance output (M&A and integrations, Product Risk/benefit surveillance, safety data projects and maintenance including the global safety database, Local & Global Operations, and QPPV/dQPPV oversight of the overall operations)
- Maintaining and building strong business relationships within Karo as well as with the partners
- Act as part of Scientific Affairs Management team and leader for other employees of scientific affairs (regulatory, quality, medical/Clin ops) and develop strategic and operational targets of the team based on the corporate development
- Act as a support in commercial processes to secure compliance and reach the business goals
- Ensuring the functional team has a transparency and understanding of the company and of the activities generating tasks within the Patient safety team and enabling the business processes whilst maintaining compliance
- Managing and executing the Budget
Requirements
- Master's degree in a relevant field, such as Pharmacy, Medicine, or Life Sciences
- Minimum of 15 years' experience within Scientific Affairs including minimum 7 years' of experience within Patient Safety and Pharmacovigilance
- Minimum of 5 years' experience as a leader
- Strong knowledge of applicable regulations and guidelines related to pharmacovigilance and patient safety
- Great communication skills including enabling and moulding difficult technical information to become suitable for each and every employee of Karo
- Commitment to being a business partner enabling Karos expansion over the globe
- Passionate for employee and organizational development
- Fluent in oral and written English
- Strategic mindset and strong communications skills as well as good understanding, and vision of how patient safety shall develop as a collaborative strategic partner to the business
