Does it excite you to shape the evidence that brings innovative obesity and metabolic medicines to patients around the world? And do you have deep expertise in HEOR and RWE generation, in a global setting? If this sounds like you, and you are ready to take on a broad, high-impact remit, then you could be our new colleague.
Your new position
As HEOR & RWE Director, you will be at the heart of Zealand Pharma’s ambition to become a leader in obesity and metabolic health. Working within our HEOR & RWE team in Medical Affairs, you will drive integrated evidence generation across our pipeline; translating clinical data into compelling, real-world arguments that resonate with payers, regulators, HCPs, and patients. This is a genuinely strategic role with global reach, where your work will directly influence access and outcomes for patients. You will collaborate closely with key internal stakeholders across Medical & Science, Medical Affairs, Biostatistics, Safety, Commercial, and Market Access, as well as with colleagues in the US. You will also be a key voice in shaping how we evolve our HEOR and RWE capabilities as the company grows.
We Offer Exciting Responsibilities
- Development and execution of HEOR and RWE strategies across the Zealand pipeline, with a focus on obesity and metabolic disease
- Drive cross-functional Integrated Evidence Planning, ensuring evidence needs of payers, regulators, HCPs, and patients are addressed from early development through launch, in close collaboration with Medical & Science, Biostatistics, Safety, Commercial, and Market Access
- Manage all aspects of RWE studies and health outcomes research; from RFP and vendor selection to protocol design, data analysis, and publication
- Translate clinical and real-world data into clear, evidence-based payer arguments and HTA-ready materials for global markets
- Champion innovation in HEOR/RWE methodologies and tools, and share that expertise through internal training and knowledge-building
- Build and maintain strong relationships with external research partners, KOLs, and payer stakeholders to support evidence strategy
Your profile
You are a strategic, collaborative professional who combines deep HEOR and RWE expertise with the ability to engage and influence across functions and geographies. You are comfortable operating independently, yet you thrive when working as part of a team; sharing knowledge, supporting colleagues, and building on each other’s ideas. You bring a patient-centred mindset and hold yourself to high standards of scientific rigour and integrity. As we work closely with our colleagues in the US, some flexibility around meeting times will occasionally be needed, and you will be at ease connecting across time zones.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant industry or consulting experience in HEOR or RWE, in pharma, biotech, or a consultancy
- Demonstrated expertise in real-world evidence generation: non-interventional studies, claims data, health outcomes research, economic analyses, PROs, and observational research, ideally with experience in obesity, diabetes, or cardiometabolic disease
- Solid experience with HTA evaluations across major markets, including interpreting complex evidence packages for payer audiences
- Proven ability to translate clinical and real-world data into evidence-based value arguments, customer-facing tools and direct-to-consumer communication
- Track record of peer-reviewed scientific publications and cross-functional project leadership on a global scale
- Masters degree or higher in life sciences, epidemiology, health economics, or equivalent
Your new team
You will join our HEOR & RWE team in Medical Affairs, reporting to the Head of HEOR & RWE. The team is deeply committed to scientific leadership, keeping patients at the centre of everything we do, and being a great place to work. You will be joining a small HEOR & RWE group of 5, which means you will have real ownership, a direct line to decision-makers, and the opportunity to shape our capabilities from the ground up. Zealand is a medium-sized company with a short chain of command; which means your contributions are visible, your voice is heard, and your ideas can move quickly from concept to reality.
