GlycoSpot is a small, innovative biotechnology company based in Søborg, specializing in the development of easy‑to‑use enzymatic kits for industries such as malting, brewing, flour milling, dairy, and detergents. Our products support customers in performing fast, reliable enzymatic analyses, and we take pride in combining scientific rigor with practical usability.
We are currently looking for three enthusiastic student assistants to join our laboratory team and support the daily operations of our company.
About the Role
As a student assistant, you will work closely with our team of three scientists and five part‑time assistants. Your tasks will span both laboratory and production‑related activities, including:
- Production of assay products and substrates
- Packaging and shipment of finished kits
- Routine laboratory tasks and maintenance like buffer preparation etc.
- Enzymatic analyses for quality control (QC)
- Supporting assay development projects
- Participation in stability studies and robustness testing
- Thorough documentation of all work in accordance with our internal standards and our commitment to Good Laboratory Practice (GLP)
A significant part of the job involves systematic execution, careful documentation, and adherence to protocols.
We are seeking students who:
- Have a flair for laboratory work and wet-lab experience
- Possess a basic understanding of enzyme kinetics
- Work in a structured, analytical, and reliable manner
- Are comfortable following detailed protocols
- Are motivated to learn and contribute to a small, dynamic team
- Are about to finish their bachelor’s degree and/or have at least two years left of their graduate studies
Working Hours
- Part‑time position
- Approximately 12 hours per week, with flexibility around exam periods
