In collaboration with Actief Hartmanns, we are looking for an ambitious and business-oriented Business Controller who will play a key role in supporting our growth by delivering valuable financial and commercial insights that enable better business decisions.
In this highly visible role, you will strengthen our Finance & Operations function while partnering closely with senior leadership to support strategic initiatives, optimize business performance, and contribute to the continued development of the company. You will not only ensure financial transparency and control, you will also act as a trusted business partner, helping translate financial data into actionable insights that support sustainable growth.
Who are we
With our vision “Your Vision. Our Inspiration” we create real impact by implementing innovation that matters and creating tomorrow’s pathology labs. Axlab distributes and supplies advanced medical equipment and consumables with a focus on pathology to laboratories and hospitals primarily in Europe and the USA. Currently, Axlab distributes products from 21 suppliers, many of which are important strategic partners. We are approximately 70 colleagues, with more than half located at our headquarters in Vedbæk. The remaining colleagues are engaged in sales and sales enablement across Europe and the USA.
You will make an impact by
- Supporting month-end closing, reconciliations, reporting, budgeting, and forecasting processes
- Developing financial analyses, business cases, and decision-support tools for management
- Acting as a trusted business partner and financial sparring partner to key stakeholders
- Supporting strategic growth initiatives and business development projects
- Driving digitalization, automation, and process optimization initiatives
- Improving decision-making through financial insights and performance analysis
- Monitoring business performance through KPI reporting and data-driven recommendations
- Ensuring compliance, strong internal controls, and high-quality financial data
- Supporting the continued development of Business Central and related systems
- Helping build scalable processes that support Axlab's continued international growth
- Collaborating closely with colleagues across all functions in the organization
- Supporting financial management and reporting activities across Axlab's international entities, including Axlab Inc.
As we are a small and evolving team, collaboration and mutual support are essential parts of how we work. You should therefore expect to support colleagues during busy periods and holidays and occasionally take on tasks outside your core responsibilities. This flexibility helps ensure continuity and smooth operations across the business.
What you bring
- Relevant degree within Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Business Administration
- Experience within controlling, FP&A, finance business partnering, audit, or a similar role
- Strong analytical and financial modelling skills
- Advanced Excel skills and strong systems understanding
- Experience working with ERP systems; Business Central is an advantage
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
- Ability to translate financial data into actionable business insights
- Fluent in Danish and English, both written and spoken
