Site Manager
Location: Jutland, Denmark
The Opportunity
Black Swans Exist is supporting the search for a Site Manager to join a fast-scaling food-tech business entering a major new chapter of growth.
This is not the kind of role where you simply keep the machine running. This is the kind of role where you help build the machine, shape the team behind it, and lead a site that is preparing to move from ambition into real industrial scale. If you are the kind of leader who thrives when there is something to build, something to improve, and something meaningful at stake, this could be a rare opportunity.
The Mission
The business is preparing a new production site for launch and is looking for someone who can take ownership of day-to-day operations while building the structure, rhythm, and performance culture that will define the future of the site – and company.
You will be the person creating clarity, pace, and accountability on the ground. You will lead from the front, bring people together, and turn operational plans into reality.
Why This Role Stands Out
This role gives you the chance to step into a highly visible leadership position with real influence. You will hire and develop the onsite team, establish the right operating standards, and make sure the facility is ready to perform at a high level as production ramps up.
From safety and quality to output and efficiency, your fingerprints will be on everything that matters.
What You Will Be Doing
You will work closely with engineering, maintenance, QA/QC, supply chain, and senior leadership to make sure the site is fully prepared for production by Q4 2026.
That means building strong routines, solving problems early, creating momentum, and making sure the team is not only ready to operate, but ready to excel.
What We Are Looking For
- We are looking for someone with strong production leadership experience in food, fermentation, or a related manufacturing environment.
- You know what good looks like on a site floor. You understand how to balance people, process, quality, and performance without losing speed.
- You have likely spent at least five years leading teams in production, and you know how to create discipline, engagement, and accountability in environments where standards matter and execution is everything.
- Experience with commissioning, scale-up, or start-up environments would be a major advantage, especially if you have helped bring a new site, line, or process into operation.
- A technical or engineering background is highly valued, as is a solid understanding of GMP, food safety, and regulatory expectations.
- You should be comfortable coaching leaders, managing performance, driving continuous improvement, and being the person others rely on when the pressure is on.
Who Will Thrive Here
Most importantly, this role needs someone who brings energy. Someone who can build trust quickly, raise the bar naturally, and create a culture where people know what great looks like and want to be part of it.
This is a chance to lead something from the ground up, in a business with strong momentum and a clear path ahead.
