We’re building DTU SkyFactory from the ground up to help science-based startups turn into growth companies of international significance. As collaboration across Europe intensifies between universities, technology leaders, institutions, and ecosystems we are now looking for a Program Manager to drive our strategic engagement with European partners.

Your core mission
Your mission is to drive DTU SkyFactory’s engagement with European partners, translating relationships into concrete collaborations that strengthen our position, increase our presence, and enable long-term development and funding. At the same time, you will identify and pursue project and funding opportunities from public and philanthropic foundations in Denmark.

You will be monitoring political and policy developments at the European level and translate them into actionable opportunities for DTU SkyFactory, taking the lead in driving these opportunities forward. You will work closely with the DTU SkyFactory leadership team, supporting both the strategic direction and the operational execution of European partnerships.

You’ll thereby:

Support and develop DTU SkyFactory’s engagement in Rise Europe, where DTU SkyFactory plays a key role, and in other major European initiatives

Identify relevant funding opportunities and support the preparation of joint applications with foundations and public programs.

Track developments in Danish and European innovation and funding policy (e.g. EIC, EIB, Horizon Europe).

Lead DTU SkyFactory’s engagement with philanthropic foundations and funds.

 What we imagine you bring

5–10 years of experience working with funding acquisition and/or innovation policy, ideally from a university, foundation, or startup environment

Demonstrated project management experience, for example through EU-funded programmes and calls.

Proven track record securing funding and navigating European and philanthropic funding landscapes.

Academic background in a relevant field, such as public policy, business, economics, or innovation

Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.

Structured and proactive, with a strong ability to connect research, innovation, and policy in practice.

Curious about science and technology, with a clear focus on impact.

Collaborative, reliable, and able to stay calm and focused when things get busy.

Good at identifying opportunities, connecting the dots, and following through ensuring nothing slips through the cracks.
