Your new position
As our new Senior External Reporting Manager, you will play a central role in Zealand Pharma’s external financial reporting and technical accounting. The role spans quarterly and annual reporting, IFRS assessments for complex transactions, and cross-functional controlling and improvement projects. You will report to the Head of Reporting & Analytics and collaborate closely with Financial Controlling & Operations, Investor Relations, and external auditors to ensure high-quality and timely deliverables.
We Offer Exciting Responsibilities
- Lead preparation of quarterly earnings materials, including financial statements, notes, management commentary, and supporting analyses
- Coordinate inputs to the Annual Report per IFRS and Danish requirements; ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency of disclosures
- Act as key point of contact for external auditors during quarterly reviews and annual audits; coordinate inputs from internal stakeholders
- Prepare and document technical accounting assessments (e.g., partnerships, collaborations, licensing, acquisitions, financing, complex contracts) and align with auditors
- Support month-end close with analytical controls; maintain accounting policies and the accounting manual
- Drive or support finance projects (systems improvements, process automation, implementation of new standards) and continuous improvement initiatives
Your profile
A current or former auditor with strong IFRS capabilities and a structured, proactive approach. Thrives in a cross-functional environment, communicates clearly with stakeholders, and brings a willingness to take initiatives. Digitally savvy and comfortable with modern finance and reporting tools.
- About 5 years of experience in auditing from a recognized firm (Big Four or equivalent), typically having reached the Senior Associate or Manager level
- Proven knowledge of IFRS and technical accounting analyses
- Experience with consolidations, ERP, and financial reporting tools, e.g. Konsolidator, Microsoft D365 Finance & Operations
- Strong analytical problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Effective stakeholder management and clear communication in English
- Nice to have: experience in biotech/pharma, life sciences, or R&D-intensive environments
