The BioInnovation Institute Foundation (BII) is an international non-profit foundation supported by the Novo Nordisk Foundation. Among other things, BII operates an incubator to accelerate world-class life science innovation that drives development of new solutions by early life science start-ups for the benefit of people and society.
The Job
In close collaboration with the Principals and Senior Coordinator, you will support the BII Human Health team, including BII’s Centers of Excellence in Brain Health and Women’s Health, with a wide range of tasks, providing opportunities to meet and engage with the startups and projects at BII, and BII’s external stakeholders.
You Will Have The Chance To Learn From Hands-on Experience Within a Vibrant Culture Of Venture Creation And Startups On Multifaceted Tasks, Including
- Supporting the Human Health Team, and especially the Centers of Excellence, with ad hoc administrative tasks, including assistance with communications to internal and external stakeholders (e-mail outreach, PowerPoint presentations, etc.).
- Supporting the planning, preparation, and execution of Centers of Excellence specific activities and events, e.g., scientific symposia and larger meetings, including help with practicalities as needed before, during, and after the events.
- Assisting with coordination and execution of meetings between investors and BII startups, using BII’s investor platform, and planning and coordination within the Human Health Team.
- Driving smaller projects supporting the Human Health Venture Creation Team, e.g., execution of landscape analysis within certain Human Health topics, analysis of BII KPIs, etc.
Professional And Personal Qualifications
We are looking for a candidate who:
- Is a 2nd or 3rd-year Bachelor's student in Biology or similar, or Business Management (with a focus on innovation, business development, or entrepreneurship).
- Has strong communication skills and is proficient in verbal and written English.
- Can take own initiatives and collaborate with colleagues from various teams and backgrounds with great energy.
- Likes to plan and execute on events, including associated outreach activities and hands-on practicalities, in a proactive way.
- Is service-minded, analytical, pays attention to details, honors deadlines, and works in a structured manner with high-quality standards.
- Is comfortable working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment with multiple key stakeholders and several projects in parallel.
- Is willing to take on administrative tasks.
- Is a proficient user of the MS Office package, particularly in PowerPoint, with a strong visual design sense, capable of creating professional slides.
The working hours are 10-20 hours per week, with flexibility to accommodate studies and exams.
