NorFalk’s company culture
We value personality and opinions and want everyone to feel valued and heard. This is done through a flat management structure, where everyone helps to create the workplace, where we thrive as a team.
To perform at a high level, it is important to prioritize both mental and physical health. Therefore, we offer the possibility of joint physical activities at least 3 times a week during the workday, paid for by NorFalk. In short, we have fun together, while ensuring that we move forward, and that we stay on track with company milestones.
Our culture is strongly influenced by an Agile mindset with a systematic meeting structure:
· Each morning, we have a morning meeting where we align our daily tasks.
· Every week, we have Technical status meetings.
· One day each month, we have a “team day”, where we reflect on and discuss workflows and experiences during the past month. As a part of this monthly team day, we do activities together, such as yoga or minigolf, or we invite an external speaker to inspire us on a personal or professional level.
An essential part of the NorFalk culture is that we care about each other as human beings, not human doings. We therefore always prioritize taking 5 minutes to “lend an ear” if e.g. a colleague has problems at home.
At NorFalk, we have established health insurance, as well as a pension scheme.
About NorFalk
NorFalk is an industrial biotech company developing and producing the next generation of chemicals. Our first product group is surfactants.
Our mission is to transform the surfactant industry into a more sustainable and responsible sector, for the greater good of planetary health and future generations. We aim to develop surfactants that have minimal impact on the environment throughout their lifecycle. This involves eliminating the use of palm oil and fossil fuels, and instead using renewable or upcycled and bio-based feedstocks. We ensure biodegradability and low toxicity in all our surfactants. Our goal is to bring to market our first palm-oil and fossil fuel-free bio-based surfactant produced through our biocatalysis platform by 2026.
Our vision is to become a trusted, innovative, and leading company in the development and production of bio-based molecules using biocatalysis, with a focus on sustainability and customer satisfaction.
