About the role
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Finance Manager to join our team in Copenhagen. The ideal candidate will provide strong team building skills, support continued process optimizations and drive operational improvements. This role requires a proactive individual with strong analytical skills and the ability to work collaboratively across various departments.
You will head up the Finance department split across Copenhagen and Barcelona consisting of 9 colleagues. Together with the other teams in Enabling Areas, we support BASE in all matters relating to finance, IT, people & culture and general business support internationally.

As a Finance Manager your responsibilities include:
- Oversee day-to-day financial operations, including journal entries, invoicing, payroll, payments, P&L, and cash flow management.
- Lead month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate reporting of financial and operational performance.
- Prepare and deliver monthly management accounts and forecasts (covering revenue, costs, and liquidity).
- Ensure full compliance with Danish VAT regulations and align with the group finance functions on compliance with transfer pricing rules.
- Support the preparation of statutory filings, including the Annual Report and Corporate Income Tax (CIT) submissions.
- Administer and monitor contracts, manage requests from government institutions, customers, and suppliers.
- Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders (management, enabling area functions).
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency, cost control, and KPI compliance.
- Ensure adherence to internal policies and procedures, maintain the internal quality management system for Finance.
- Provide financial insights and strategic support to senior management for decision-making and business planning.
- Manage the Finance team located across Copenhagen and Barcelona.
