About the Role
Y-mAbs seeks a Finance Manager who will oversee all accounting activities for our Y-mAbs Denmark-based entity, business partner with R&D project leads to provide accounting and forecasting support, ensuring compliance with SOX regulations, managing the financial systems, prepare local Denmark statutory and tax filings, processing Denmark payroll and maintaining accurate financial records.
This position has a Financial Accountant direct report in Denmark focused on accounts payable and general ledger close functions.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage to monthly closing calendar to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting under US GAAP.
- Prepare monthly and quarterly accounting entries for R&D projects along with commentary compared to budget/forecast.
- Act as an audit liaison with internal and external auditors.
- Prepare monthly account reconciliations and general accounting functions and SOX control documentation.
- Process payroll with Human Resource business partner for Denmark based employees.
- Maintain financial systems and enhance based on business needs.
- Prepare local statutory tax, transfer pricing documentation, global VAT declarations, Intrastat, and Danmarks Statistik reporting.
- Manage processing of accounts payable invoice processing and payment along with weekly cash needs forecast and purchase order processing.
- Oversee compliance with company travel and expense policies, promoting transparency in financial transactions.
Participation in
- Senior management, external and internal auditor meetings.
- Cross functional teams for business partner support.
Key Qualifications
- Ability to work independently yet coordinate efforts with the larger finance team in Denmark and the US.
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP, Danish GAAP, IFRS; proficiency in ERP systems (e.g. Microsoft Dynamics) and advanced excel skills
- Provide guidance and support to finance team members, fostering a collaborative environment to achieve common goals
- Ability to multi-task and process focused to streamline tasks while providing accurate financial deliverables.
- Business partnering, service-oriented and motivated by the outgoing aspect of the role.
- Values open and trusting collaboration where everyone contributes both professionally and collegially
- Ensure proper documentation and prioritization of operational tasks in alignment with company objectives.
- Looking for a hands-on individual who can do work but also partner with the organization; Five plus years of related experience, preferably in the biotech/pharmaceutical industry.
- Degree in Accounting or Finance.
- Proficiency in Danish and English, both written and spoken.
Location
This role is based in our Denmark office in Hørsholm, just north of Copenhagen.
