IO Biotech is looking for energetic and passionate research assistants with expertise in in vivo and/or in vitro research for temporary six-month positions to start immediately, with the possibility of extension. You will join our dynamic, multidisciplinary preclinical team in Copenhagen, Denmark.
The team focuses on novel modalities and delivery strategies, in vivo and ex vivo mechanism of action studies, and validation of new cancer targets using the T-win® platform. You will be part of the preclinical team and collaborate closely with the nine team members and report to Associate principal scientist / Senior scientist from the team.
The key responsibilities will be to:
- Conduct hands-on experimental work, including both in vivo and in vitro studies
- Accurately document and present research data
- Contribute to operational activities
To Succeed in This Role, You Should Have
- A minimum of Felasa B certification (or equivalent), hands-on experience with in vivo models, and the ability to perform in vivo experiments with minimal supervision, including animal handling, injections, and tissue collection, and/or experience handling primary cells, maintaining in vitro cultures, and performing functional cell assays
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work flexibly across multiple tasks
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Fluency in English at all levels
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in immunology or cancer immunology research
- Hands-on experience with murine in vivo tumor models
- Competency in flow cytometry
- Experience with immuno-assays such as ELISpot and ELISA
- Working experience with basic molecular biology techniques such as qPCR and RNAseq
- Familiarity with GxP regulations or experience working under GLP
- Previous experience in a non-academic research setting
Required Qualifications
- MSc degree in biomedicine, biology, or immunology
- For roles involving in vivo work: a minimum of Felasa B certification (EU Function AD), or equivalent valid in Denmark
- Valid work permit in Denmark
