Are you passionate about microbiology and looking for a dynamic role in an innovative probiotics start-up? We are seeking a Laboratory Technician to join our team and contribute to groundbreaking work in the field of precision probiotics and PFAS detoxification.
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform microbiological experiments, including culturing and maintaining bacterial strains.
• Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
• Conduct microbiology experiments in LAF benches or an anaerobic chamber.
• Bacterial isolation and characterization including genetic analyses.
• Support analytical testing, including LC-MS (Liquid Chromatography–Mass Spectrometry) techniques.
• Assist in data collection, analysis, and reporting.
• Maintain accurate laboratory records and reports.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Lab technician degree (or equivalent experience).
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment. • Experience working with bacterial isolates.
• Experience isolating bacterial strains and characterizing them.
• Experience working with anaerobic chambers is a plus.
• Familiarity with LC-MS operation and analysis is a plus.
