As we are expanding our services across Europe, we now seek an experienced Strategic Sales Manager to spearhead our sales efforts.
Position Overview:
As a Strategic Sales Manager you will spearhead our sales initiatives across Europe, focusing on clients within the life sciences, biotechnology, and pharmaceutical sectors. This position involves co-developing and executing a strategic sales plan to broaden our market footprint, engaging with potential customers, and delivering specialized DNA sequencing solutions that address their unique requirements. This role is critical in establishing long-term partnerships and ensuring a robust presence for our services in the industry. The role comes with full responsibility of the sales process from lead generation through to close and full account ownership. You will report directly to the CEO Scott Quainoo.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales Strategy & Execution:
- Co-develop, implement, and lead a comprehensive sales strategy that aligns with the company’s growth objectives.
- Identify and target potential clients in the biotechnology, pharmaceutical, and academic sectors, with a focus on laboratories and research facilities utilising DNA-based molecular biology techniques.
- Meet quarterly and annual sales targets, supporting the company’s goals for market penetration and revenue.
Client Relationship Management:
- Build, develop, and nurture strong relationships with key accounts and stakeholders, including scientists, researchers, procurement teams, lab managers, and CXOs.
- Utilize a consultative sales approach to understand client challenges and identify opportunities where our services add value.
- Serve as the primary point of contact, overseeing the customer experience from initial engagement to post-sale support.
Technical Sales & Product Presentation:
- Conduct technical presentations and product demonstrations to showcase the applications and benefits of our services in practical scenarios.
- Keep up-to-date with internal service developments to provide relevant updates to clients.
- Work closely with the technical support and CEO to ensure accurate and effective product knowledge transfer.
Market Analysis & Expansion:
- Collect customer feedback to communicate to the R&D team for continuous improvement and innovation.
- Represent the company at industry conferences, seminars, and workshops to enhance brand visibility and connect with prospective customers.
Pipeline & Sales Administration:
- Maintain and expand a structured pipeline of prospects and customers within a CRM tool, ensuring accurate tracking and reporting of sales activities.
- Documented skill in identifying and qualifying potential leads to ensure alignment with our target customer profile and personas
- Confidence and experience in cold calling and cold emailing prospective customers to generate and convert leads and build relationships.
- Provide regular sales forecasts and reports to management, detailing achievements, challenges, and strategic adjustments.
Experience:
Minimum of 2 years experience in a customer-engaging sales role within the life sciences or biotechnology sectors, ideally with experience in DNA sequencing or molecular biology products/services sales.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Microbiology, Biotechnology, Synthetic Biology, Life science, or a related scientific field; advanced degree (MSc or PhD) is a plus.
Skills & Competencies:
- Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets, with strong consultative sales skills.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex technical information to a diverse audience.
- Strategic thinker with analytical skills and the ability to adapt quickly to a dynamic market.
- Proficiency in CRM software (e.g. Hubspot).
- Fluency in English, both written and spoken. Fluency in other European languages is a plus.
- A valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record is a plus.

- Willingness to travel within the Nordics and other regions in Europe.
What we offer:
For candidates based in Denmark, we offer a base salary plus commission based on achieving sales targets. Remote candidates outside of Denmark will be engaged on a contractor basis.
