We are looking for an experienced accountant to ensure consistently high-quality accounting routines and month-end closing procedures. The ideal candidate has broad experience from a mid-size accounting function in a manufacturing company with international activities.
The role
In this position, you will play a significant role in ensuring consistently high-quality accounting routines and month-end closing procedures.
You will be working as an integral part of the Group Finance Team, which currently comprises 4 competent employees with a focus on streamlining the finance operations and maintaining high-quality processes. You will be working across several finance and reporting systems, including consolidation of financial reports from foreign subsidiaries, and your work will be in close collaboration with your colleagues in the Finance Team. You will also get involved with other parts of the organization, including R&D, purchase and inventory, manufacturing, etc.
You will be working in our newly renovated offices in Ballerup.

Key responsibilities
- Take responsibility and actively participate in timely and accurate accounting routines
- Active participation in general ledger postings, reconciliations and month-end closing
- Optimization of daily accounting routines in collaboration with colleagues in the Finance Team
- Maintain Fixed Assets register, including depreciation and reconciliations
- Inventory reconciliations and depreciation of demo equipment
- Capitalization of Manufacturing and Development Projects
- VAT reporting and reconciliation (DK, CH and UK)
- Reporting of statistics to authorities
- Analysis of specific expense categories compared to budgets and prior periods
- Active participation in maintenance and optimization of Navision and other systems
- Active participation in consolidation and reporting
Profile & key qualifications
- Experienced user of Navision, as well as Excel and Microsoft Office programs
- Solid communication skills in English
- Experience with accounting routines in a manufacturing organization with indirect production costs
- Solid understanding of accounting routines for transactions in inventory and relevant reconciliations
- Hands-on experience with month-end closing and the ability to identify areas for optimization
- Experience within VAT compliance, including reconciliation and reporting
- Preferably experience with international VAT and duties for transfer of goods and services
- Preferably experience with consolidation of foreign subsidiaries
- Preferably experience with financial reporting, variance analysis and BI reports
