Then we might have the perfect opportunity at BII, where we are looking for a student assistant to support the Academic Relations activities within the Science Strategy Team.
BII is a non-profit foundation supported by the Novo Nordisk Foundation. Among other things, BII operates as an incubator to accelerate world-class life science innovation, driving the development of new solutions by early-stage life science start-ups for the benefit of people and society.
The Job
The BII Science Strategy Team maintains a broad range of areas within BII, including our strategic collaborations with Danish universities. As a Student Assistant you will spend your time supporting the team in running activities to establish and maintain strong ties within universities, hospitals and other academic institutions.
A significant part of the projects funded by BII originate from a Danish research institution, and BII works closely with key stakeholders within these to actively scout for projects to join our portfolio. BII also collaborates on and funds innovation-focused activities within Danish research institutions to support the local innovation culture.
You will help with a range of activities, including coordination with key stakeholders within the research institutions, preparation of material for presentations, planning and facilitating external events, outreach to relevant researchers and stakeholders, and more.
Your Key Responsibilities Will Include
- Maintaining a detailed overview of activities between BII and Danish research institutions.
- Coordinating activities with colleagues across BII and with key contacts at Danish research institutions.
- Supporting the planning and facilitation of innovation-focused events for the academic ecosystem.
- Supporting the development and maintenance of software tools for our scouting and deal-flow process.
- Preparing outreach materials, such as PowerPoint presentations and flyers.
- Supporting the Science Strategy Team with ad-hoc administrative tasks.
The working hours are 10-20 hours per week, with flexibility to accommodate studies and exams.
Professional And Personal Qualifications
We are looking for a candidate who:
- Is currently enrolled in a bachelor’s program in a Danish university.
- Has strong communication skills and is proficient in verbal and written Danish and English.
- Is experienced with MS Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
- Is service-minded and analytical, works in a structured way, and delivers high-quality work on time.
- Is comfortable in a fast-paced environment, handling several projects and stakeholders at once.
- Is a dedicated team player who thrives in a collaborative environment and is eager to learn.
