Algae Cultivation & Laboratory
Are you studying biology, biotechnology, biochemistry, process technology or a related field and looking for a hands-on role where your work contributes directly to developing sustainable microalgae technology? Algiecel is developing microalgae technology to produce natural, protein- and omega-3-rich ingredients, while contributing to the transition toward more sustainable food, feed, and cosmetic production.
We are looking for a Student Assistant – Lab & Pilot to join our R&D team at DTI in Taastrup. You will work hands-on with algae cultivation, sampling, laboratory analyses, experiments, and data, while helping ensure that our lab and cultivation activities run safely and efficiently. You will work closely with colleagues across biology, engineering, and operations as we scale our technology from pilot operations toward industrial deployment. This is an opportunity to apply your scientific knowledge in practice and see your work contribute directly to real experiments and technology development.

We expect you to have:
- Practical laboratory experience from your studies, research projects, or previous employment
- Interest in algae cultivation, laboratory analyses, and experimental work
- A structured and reliable approach to documenting your work and results
- A practical, hands-on mindset and the ability to work independently with limited supervision
- A proactive and well-organized approach, with the ability to structure your own work

- Reporting to: Senior Microalgae Scientist, Head of Bio & Lab
- Start date: As soon as possible
What We Offer
- The opportunity to join a diverse and international team where different strengths, perspectives, and ways of thinking are valued, and where collaboration, curiosity, and having fun are part of everyday life
- A flexible workplace where your working hours can be planned around your studies
- The opportunity to contribute directly to real experiments, cultivation activities, biological testing, and technology development
- Hands-on training and close collaboration with experienced colleagues across biology, engineering, and operations, with opportunities to develop your laboratory, cultivation, analytical, and operational skills
