Sales Manager | Western Europe | Specialist Medical Devices
I’m hiring for a Sales Manager to join a growing international medical devices business operating across specialist, procedure-led healthcare markets, including ophthalmology.
This is a role for someone who understands complex medical device sales from the inside. You will know how to build trust with distributors, clinicians, clinics and commercial partners, manage country-level sales dynamics, and drive growth across different Western European markets.
The business is looking for a commercially strong sales leader who can do more than manage existing accounts. This person will help build and scale distributor sales models, open new market opportunities, strengthen partner performance, negotiate country-level targets and promotional plans, and bring more structure and visibility into the commercial pipeline.
What you’ll be doing:
- Driving sales growth across Western Europe.
- Developing and implementing distributor sales models across multiple countries.
- Building strong relationships with distributors, partners, clinicians, customers and key stakeholders.
- Negotiating sales targets, promotional budgets and country-level plans of action with partners.
- Tracking pipeline, field activity and partner performance through CRM tools.
- Identifying market opportunities, risks and growth levers through commercial data and local market insight.
- Representing the business at relevant industry conferences, trade fairs and customer forums.
- Supporting educational and promotional activities together with country partners.
- Ensuring strong compliance with internal standards, reporting expectations and regional requirements.
Ideal background:
- 10+ years of international sales experience in specialist medical devices, surgical consumables, implantable consumables or other procedure-led healthcare markets.
- Strong experience managing distributor, indirect or hybrid sales models across Western Europe.
- Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.
- Exposure to ophthalmology, surgical consumables, implantable devices or similar clinician-led medical device areas would be useful.
- Confident using Salesforce or similar CRM platforms to manage pipeline, activity and reporting.
- Strong negotiation, stakeholder management and cross-cultural communication skills.
- Fluent English, with additional Western European languages a strong advantage.
- Willingness to travel extensively across Europe.
