Established by the Novo Nordisk Foundation in 2018, BII promotes collaborative, interdisciplinary, research-based innovation in the Life Sciences, Quantum Science, and Deep Tech and helps build viable start-up companies to ensure that such innovations become widely available for the benefit of people and society.
As our new communication specialist, you will play a central role in ensuring that our communication reaches the right stakeholders, and that BII is positioned as a world leading innovation institute in the Danish and international media.
In This Role You Will
- Ensure that BII’s communication is tied to BII’s purpose and the communication strategy, our core narrative and key messages.
- Act as a strategic advisor on all internal communication in the organization such as team meeting slides and internal key messages from the CEO and the rest of the executive management group.
- Communicate with BII’s staff and community through our internal platforms and ensure that information flows through the organization.
- Support external communication by writing press releases, preparing media kits, pitching stories to the media internationally, nationally and locally.
- Write speeches for the executive management team, media train spokespeople and advise on thought leadership.
Professional And Personal Qualifications
You will report directly to the Head of Communication and join a team of dedicated communication specialists, working across functions such as internal communication, external communication, marketing, events, and public affairs.
Ideally, You Bring The Following Qualifications
- A bachelor’s or master’s degree in a relevant field (e.g. journalism, communications, media studies).
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar role.
- High proficiency in PowerPoint and Word, preferably also experience with Canva and LinkedIn.
- Maintain attention to detail while keeping an overview of priorities and deadlines.
- Have strong coordination skills and proven experience in coordinating among many stakeholders while tackling many tasks at the same time.
- Proficiency in English at a professional level, both written and spoken.
In addition to the above, you are comfortable managing multiple priorities with discretion and attention to detail. You thrive in a fast-paced environment with many stakeholders and take pride in creating structure, anticipating needs, and ensuring smooth coordination and high-quality delivery across tasks, schedules, and stakeholders.
