The BioInnovation Institute (BII) is seeking a Student Assistant to support our data management, AI integration, and data communication initiatives in the world of life science and deep tech start-ups.

Established by the Novo Nordisk Foundation in 2018, BII promotes collaborative, interdisciplinary, research-based innovation in the Life Sciences, Quantum Science, and Deep Tech and helps build viable start-up companies to ensure that such innovations become widely available for the benefit of people and society.
As a Student Assistant, you will work with our Data Science Team to support and improve the systems upon which we rely for processes such as generating new project leads, tracking interactions with potential investors, evaluating applicants to our venture programs, and assessing the scientific and societal impact of our funded start-ups. You will also contribute to our expanding work in AI-assisted workflows, data quality and curation, and driving insights through dashboards and other data communication formats.
Your Key Responsibilities Will Include
- Assist in the collection and curation of data to ensure accuracy and reliability across our data platform.
- Support the Data Science Team with the improvement of BII data systems, including contributing to the evaluation and implementation of AI tools.
- Facilitate the collection of impact reporting data from our funded projects and start-ups.
- Assist with annual reporting to Statistics Denmark.
- Assist in developing dashboards, data reports, and other data communication formats that make our data accessible and actionable for internal stakeholders.
Professional & Personal Qualifications
We are searching for a candidate who:
- Is currently in their 3rd year of a bachelor’s degree or will start their master’s degree in data science, business analytics, or another relevant field this fall.
- Strong interest in working with operational and business data.
- Is proficient in written and spoken English.
- Is well organized and has a very high attention to detail.
- Works in a structured and independent manner, with a willingness to learn.
- Experience with visual data analytics tools such as Power BI is a plus.
- A curiosity for AI tools and their practical application in data and business workflows.
