Established by the Novo Nordisk Foundation in 2018, BII promotes collaborative, interdisciplinary, research-based innovation in the Life Sciences, Quantum Science, and Deep Tech and helps build viable start-up companies to ensure that such innovations become widely available for the benefit of people and society.
As a student at BII, you will become part of a finance function that both manages daily operations and works on developing processes, data, and reporting.
The role is broad, ranging from practical tasks and follow-ups to working with data, investments, and analysis. This will give you insight into the “engine room” of the organization, along with strong opportunities for professional development.
Your Key Responsibilities Will Include
- Handle daily finance operations, including inbox management, e-Boks, invoices, payments, and internal inquiries
- Update and maintain investment portfolio data, master data, and Excel models used for reporting and decision-making
- Assist with reconciliations, month-end closing, and bookkeeping in collaboration with our external accounting partner, Keepers
- Prepare audit materials and structure documentation and working papers
- Support analysis, reporting, and continuous improvement of processes and data quality
- Contribute to automation and the use of AI within the finance function
Professional & Personal Qualifications
We seek a colleague who is driven by purpose and motivated to contribute to a non-profit organization dedicated to bringing science to life. Ideally, you bring the following competencies and skills:
- Is studying accounting, auditing, finance, or a related field, and has at least two years left of studies
- Is fluent in Danish and English, both written and spoken
- Works in a structured manner and has strong attention to detail
- Has solid Excel skills and an interest in how AI can be applied in finance
- Has an interest in investments and financial controlling
- Can handle both routine tasks and more complex assignments
- Takes responsibility and follows through on tasks
It Is An Advantage If You
- Have experience from a student job within finance
- Have worked with, or have an interest in foundations, grants, or similar areas
