We are looking for a Venture Associate to join Lundbeckfonden BioCapital, our unit for biotech investments. We seek to boost our investments in Danish biotech, and the new role will support our investment activities comprising new investments and value creation in our existing portfolio.
About Lundbeckfonden BioCapital
Lundbeckfonden BioCapital is Lundbeckfonden’s dedicated biotech investment unit. We invest in innovative life science and biotech companies and work closely with founders and management teams to help advance science-driven products and platforms from early development through growth. Our portfolio currently includes 14 companies, spanning private and public holdings.
In this role you will:
- Support due diligence for potential investments by preparing analyses and decision materials, and collaborate with biotech companies and stakeholders across academia, incubators, and other venture funds.
- Track and report portfolio holdings and valuations (private and public), and contribute analyses on company progress, portfolio performance, and portfolio strategy.
- Work closely with a team of six venture professionals to manage the portfolio and identify, analyse, and invest in new biotech companies.
What we’re looking for:.
- An advanced degree (PhD, MD or equivalent) in a relevant scientific field e.g. medical science, biology, chemistry, pharmacology.
- Relevant experience from academic research, management consulting, life science venture capital, investment banking, and/or the pharma/biotech industry.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to synthesise scientific, industry, and market information to identify trends across diverse data sources.
