What you’ll be doing
As one of four production managers, and together with your colleagues, you will lead day‑to‑day operations across the full production. Your specific area of functional responsibility and specialisation is in fermentation. You will join the team in the commissioning phase and be part of building up the line, operations and team before production start.
Key responsibilities
- Lead and supervise the production/fermentation team: rostering, coaching, performance management, and on‑the‑job training.
- Own fermentation operations: processing steps, monitor critical parameters, and ensure repeatable process execution.
- Implement and enforce SOPs, batch records, good manufacturing practices, and food‑safety practices
- Troubleshoot process deviations and work with engineering/QA to execute corrective actions and continuous improvement.
- Ensure accurate production documentation, batch release support, and handover to QA/QC.
- Manage shift handovers, production scheduling, and resource allocation to meet throughput and quality targets.
- Maintain high hygiene and cleaning standards in the production area, equipment cleanliness, sanitation and coach team members on safety, hygiene, contamination control, and good manufacturing practices.
- Ensure preventive maintenance in coordination with maintenance teams.
- Contribute to line commissioning and engage in start‑up, ramp-up and scale‑up activities for new fermentation equipment and processes.
What you’re bringing
- 3+ years’ experience in production supervision within food, fermentation, biotech, or related process industries; hands‑on fermentation experience is required.
- Strong knowledge of fermentation process control, contamination control and batch record management.
- Experience with GMP/food‑safety standards (HACCP, Food Safety Management Systems, IFS/ISO standards or equivalent).
- Proven people‑management skills: coaching, shift leadership, and training.
- Practical troubleshooting skills and comfort working with mechanical/process equipment.
- Strong communication and teamwork; fluent in English; Danish language skills are an advantage.

- You will report to the site manager.
